The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) represents 70% of internationally accredited UK chiropractors. The BCA was founded in 1925. Their aim is to promote, encourage and maintain high standards of conduct, practice, education and training within the profession in this country.
All BCA members declare that they adhere to evidence-based and patient-centred practice, and support research. Strive for excellence in all facets of practice, and uphold the right of patients to have access to the healthcare services of their choice. They also promote cooperative relationships with other healthcare professionals, for the benefit of the patient.

The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is the UK’s statutory body, established by the Chiropractors Act 1994. It is a criminal offence for anyone to describe themselves as a chiropractor without being registered with the GCC.
